I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

This that I am going to mention is a complex subject and one can get very in-depth in it. God Highly esteems a contrite spirit. It is said that the Lord Jesus Christ was/is the prince of peace. Even Pontius Pilate liked him but was driven to do what he did. Scripture has just as Jesus said lots to say about righteousness and the humbled servant. Pride comes before a fall and even well-known musicians have written songs with such lyrics. Because it is true. Jesus once said that his yoke is easy yet many Christians become hardened by life and seem to abuse the brethren. And sure sometimes it is hard preaching because that is hard love. But Satan being such a beautiful cherubim angel was prideful, arrogant, and iniquity was found in him. It is said once a true Christian is born again they are Saints whitewashed in the blood. John 3:3 I know from when I was younger and Friends put things in my head about women that it could be taken too far. And it makes you prideful, arrogant and sinful. I lived it and I know what it is like. But for example to the true God a couple in marriage is one flesh. That is Anointed. So even human beings are prone to fall in Pride and many Perish. Because of what Lucifer did who became known as Satan as he tempted Eve by one man Adam sin entered the world. Romans 512 And if you look at people in life such as Elvis Presley who is a good example look what happened when you had a man with such beauty and such talent and the world loved him and worshiped him. He was a Baptist Christian and still look what happened. What about Whitney Houston ? Could you imagine if he remained humble as a child. Jesus said unless we become like children we will not enter into his kingdom . The Bible says the least will be first in heaven. It is easy to become like Satan. Misery loves company. Birds of a feather flock together. Now Jesus Christ was the humble servant and he had a face that men looked away from and yet he was and is the son of the Living God. He came to call Sinners to repentance. And so I'm going to quote a couple of scriptures about the devil. And I might later expand on this topic. By the way I am not singling out any body and I like Elvis Presley to. His great talent is evidence that God exists and he knew it.

So to conclude Satan managed to convince a great number of other angels to turn on their own maker. That suggests the TRUE Living God had a very serious problem and of course he is omnipresent and HOLY. And he dealt with it. You have to remain humble and abide in the Vine. The Bible says You must be born again and pride comes before a fall. Many youth think that they are cool. Recently the Happy Days was in the news and remember the Fonz. Or even James Bond. The Bible says we are to seek the righteousness of Jesus who is humbled. God humbles those he loves and he hates pride and arrogance. You could be so full of yourself and end up in hell. Repent and believe in the gospel. The Bible says you must be born again in John 3:3

YOUR FAITH MUST BE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Remember he came to destroy the works of the devil and many people uphold them and swim in them. 

Pride such as a seed produced iniquity which later fermented into evil. Look at the evil Satan brought onto the Nations.

That's what the devil had/has. Have you ever admired a singer or a band and you wanted to be like them. As you have Elvis impersonators and they develop that pride of being worshiped. There has been a few that are very close. It is said in scripture that God hates a proud look. You can have pride in sin. There are some types of sins that will torpedo you straight towards hell. And Society I think incorporates such sins and tries to establish them as normality but to GOD  he warns us where those sins will actually take us. But in the case of the devil he had pride in his own vanity. And it went as far as that Pride then grows until you are  engulfed in SIN and rebellion. Example: Looking at a woman with lust. If holiness was there it slips away. When you are a counterfeit christian the devil has you. And you are far from ever walking in the spirit instead of the flesh.  The Bible talks about the state of a man whom has Wicked spirits and is dirty and how the last state is worse than the first. Remember Christ cast out demons. Many people have them and those control people. There is only one way and it is to abide in the Vine. Many people are looking for the approval of the world and the world walks and sin and rebellion. As written in James 4:4 you become God's enemy if you follow the world. The spirit Wars against the flesh. The Bible tells us we are to be holy. In the Sermon on the Mount the Lord said to be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. If you can not now strive to enter in how will you ever understand even in eternity. When you have been born again as written in James 4:4 you are going to be equipped in such a way that is profound. It's a choice and the lord gave that choice as the Rich Young Ruler who refused to pick up his cross because his pride was in his own rich worldly comfort.
