There was a time God was mad or upset at the new moons festivals and music of his people the Jewish people. They denied his only begotten son being the Pharisees. But he was setting them up and teaching them and you know he wanted to take them under his wing but they would not have it. They strayed just the same as when all those generations died out circling the desert for 40 some odd years because they disobeyed their deliverer Moses.

For a man to hear the songs of fools

((Better a rebuke))

Luke 16:15

King James Version

15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God

.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Despite Luke 31 applies to those Pharisees and Sadducee's and scribes that did not believe in his day or stopped listening to their God but many people are the same as the condition of their hearts are darkened even in present times.

God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. I remember a brother in Christ saying that even if reference to the prosperity Gospel that you don't believe God's word. You know I understand where they're coming from because there is so much deception that you start seeing that as godly but that's not what I'm really getting at here but I needed to mention that because it's about believing God's word. You see some people think that some of the gifts as healing is not available anymore but other gifts are and that those gifts died along with the apostles. God still heals people by prayer and by his will. If not that way God will direct your life to get the proper attention that is required. But the Lord before he was on the cross he was before the Pharisees who were religious leaders who were covetous but I guess they reasoned that they were so good in their hearts but they don't fool the true God as they fooled themselves. And we can relate to this otherwise. Christ said that Satan thinks of the things that be of men and not the things that be of God. There is music that is like a cookie cutter that is repetitious and goes nowhere. It doesn't feed the spirit and in fact some of it is just stale although people attach themselves to it. We might be thinking wow doesn't God hear the talent in these people and he probably does but he knows if that talent was redirected for his cause it would be better served. There's music that is derogatory and offensive to God's spirit. God says in Scripture that his Spirit won't always strive with man. That is in Genesis 6:3. So I've recently written about music and I've written about music in the past. I regret not knowing years back  the Lord and that I could have redirected better songs for his cause. Gospel songs. Not all music is bad. Some music is very interesting and enjoyable but does it do God's will or does it do our will. When a person becomes a born again Christian man or woman they gave their lives to the Lord. God's word says that souls belong to the Lord. So we can reason about music and try to fit in music that is offensive to God and that is an abomination or borders on that edge but it still is offensive. God's word says that we are not to grieve the spirit of God. That's very hard not to do if we can't obey and listen. 5:55 p.m. January 1 2021

His ways are not our ways and his mind is above ours

Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

So probably in the future I will write more about music. Music that glorifies the lord and worships is wonderful. But remember God was not too happy with the music and festivals of the Jewish people at one time. There are many parables that Christ gave as examples of serving him. He said I am the way the truth and the life. He is not the wrong way and he is not the deceived way. No man having put his hand on the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. Praise him every day, in everything and every way. Give thanks and supplication daily. Make melodies for the Lord in your hearts.

Ecclesiastes 7:5 - It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Isaiah 5:14 has compound meaning. It could be speaking about Jerusalem and

the Jews and it is most likely speaking of the devil and his children. All the rejoice and pomp shall descend into the bottomless pit which is hell. It's simple. So how does this relate to music? Because the rejoicing is in vain. It doesn't do nothing for the truth. Rejoicing over lies is evil and false. Here is part of a commentary I believe it's from Henry Matthew and it is basic and gets right to the point.

"Those who set their hearts upon the world, will justly be disappointed. Here is woe to those who dote upon the pleasures and the delights of sense. The use of music is lawful; but when it draws away the heart from God, then it becomes a sin to us. God's judgments have seized them, but they will not disturb themselves in their pleasures. The judgments are declared. Let a man be ever so high, death will bring him low; ever so mean, death will bring him lower. The fruit of these judgments shall be, that God will be glorified as a God of power. Also, as a God that is holy; he shall be owned and declared to be so, in the righteous punishment of proud men. Those are in a woful condition who set up sin, and who exert themselves to gratify their base lusts. They are daring in sin, and walk after their own lusts; it is in scorn that they call God the Holy One of Israel." Credit Henry Matthew commentary here

God says that there's not even one who is good and there's not even one who has understanding. They have all gone astray. We just don't love the truth and it's very few people among-st the population of the world who can accept the truth and who actually live in it compared to the worldwide false way. It's a narrow strait Gateway the real way. Look what is written in Romans 3.

¹² They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

¹³ Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

We have to love him with all our heart mind and soul. If we are deceived then we don't do that. If we hate his teachings that the world despises then we hate him and we don't love him. If we sing songs with lyrics that are derogatory or music that is dark that is against God's spirit. So many cannot hear the truth they have all become unprofitable. And they have done this together. You know the old cliche birds of a feather flock together. People have pride in wickedness and see it as good but it is actually an abomination. 4:44 a.m. January to 2022
