Easter or Passover

The word Easter appears only once in the King James Bible. And it was replaced with Passover in the new King James Bible which makes sense. Because Pontius Pilate and all that business had to deal with the Jews having the Passover. Although biblical Christianity adopted this pagan practice it is clearly not a Biblical concept. There is even discrepancy in the day that he had risen which appears to be on the Sabbath. 12:21 pm 5/17/22

"Share All sharing options for: Why is Passover such a big deal for Jews? Passover is a holiday about freedom, because it celebrates the Jews' liberation from slavery in Egypt. It's also a holiday about reaching Israel, which for almost 2,000 years (since Roman times) was an unfulfilled aspiration." Aug 5, 2014

Easter” or “Passover” in Acts 12:4? - KJV Today

Acts 12:4 King James Version

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

Acts 12:4

New King James Version

4 So (A)when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four [a]squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.

"The Tyndale Bible generally refers to the body of biblical translations by William Tyndale into Early Modern English, made c. 1522–1536. Tyndale's Bible is credited with being the first Bible translation in the English language to work directly from Hebrew and Greek texts."

Matthew 26:18-19

King James Version

18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Jesus was not a pagan see he was a Jewish Rabbi.   Isaias 53  Yeshua was his Hebrew name. Hebrews do not practice paganism. Also the Jews were exiled at some point in the past. They kept the pass over to commemorate their freedom of captivity. Also when plaques came the Lord passed over their houses or the angel of the Lord being the death angel did. This is because they had blood on their door posts or somewhere to protect themselves. Easter is clearly a pagan holiday and even if Christianity has adopted it, it also adopted other pagan holidays. So I've researched for a few years now and they can blame the Tyndale Bible translation but it's not correct.

I realize that they used the Passover of the Jews and took that and created a celebration called Easter to celebrate the Risen Messiah in it's place. I'm not saying people can't celebrate it but if it feels inappropriate then you don't have to. Our Lord the biblical unblemished Lamb of God is risen regardless.
