Self-righteousness and hypocrisy

( God's word can be shocking )

What is the human life but a vapour here today and gone tomorrow. We have such a little time on Earth and very little time to get it right. But many people will die in their sins and never be saved and actually perish. The multitude are deceived. You know sometimes Street Preachers preach religion will take you to hell. Its about relationship and not religion. Yes religion will take you to hell actually that's true. Some of them preach stop being so religious. And there are many passages in scripture that give encouragement or others that are shocking. People think they know God. God is not some doting grandfather saying Let's Make a Deal. He is saying this is the deal. People want to know God is love. God gave us the glorious good news.

What is the most life changing Bible verse?

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." "See, I am doing a new thing!"

3. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11

"Out of Context: This verse is typically given to someone as a sentiment during a difficult time, or on a graduation card after crossing a stage receiving his or her diploma or degree.

"As a stand-alone promise, it appears as though God exists to make us all popular, rich, healthy, and powerfully well known! God declares the American Dream over my life!

"In Context: This incredible promise is given not to an individual, but to a people group—Hebrews exiled in Babylon. God promised that He had not given up on His people and that even though things looked dire, they still had a future and a hope!"

"So, the word “prosper” doesn’t refer to money or material blessings; it refers to physical and spiritual salvation. It’s a beautiful promise that God is not done with His people and that their future and hope were only found in Him."

"The promise is that He will see His plans through, and His people get to be a part of them.

"We’re also commanded in the Great Commission to “make disciples,” which includes helping others wage war against sin. However, Matthew 7 is a warning against self-righteousness and hypocrisy."

What is the most controversial verse in the Bible?

Matthew 27:24-25: “And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.” This scripture has been called the most inflammatory passage in the New Testament. It comes from one of the most dramatic moments in the New Testament." Jun 23, 2018

What is the most controversial Bible verses

God himself will kill tens of thousands if it pleases him: 1st Samuel 6:19 in the King James Version: “And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men (50,070)”. Kill 50 000 men for looking at something? 2.Dec 24, 2012

"I was recently having a discussion with an atheist who had grown up in a Christian family and had gone to church for the first twenty years of her life. But she became an atheist in her 20s.

When I asked her why she became an atheist, she said, “I started reading the Bible.”

They say angels have incredible power and there's also a passage in the bible that an angel wipes out soldiers involved in war. And some of these verses that people claim made them an atheist it's because they don't understand God nor these verses. They don't understand relationship of what was occurring on Earth during those times and how would that have to be dealt this. God judges people especially in the Old Testament as Cities and Nations. It is written it's a fearful thing fall into the hands of God. God is real. God has the right to exercise judgement and wrath.

In I Chronicles 21:15, the same "Angel of the Lord" is seen by David to stand "between the earth and the heaven, with a drawn sword in his hand stretched out against Hebrews's enemies". Later, in II

Kings 19:35, the angel kills 185,000 Assyrian soldiers.

Deuteronomy 23:2-4

King James Version

2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:

4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

There were certain groups that were hostile to the true God and his people. These people were involved in things that are very sinful to God. Because of their excruciating sins people end up in hell. Sometimes people's influence to be like them also lose their soul. God doesn't take comfort when a soul perishes and so there are reasons that the true God does things in the Old Testament and even in the new. There were the amorites and other groups is that were very wicked. We have them today too different groups that are involved and things that are very evil and they think that they know God but they have been deceived by the devil. The Bible says the devil deceive the whole world. He is the prince of the air and the god of this world.

"In the Hebrew Bible, the way of all flesh is a religious phrase that in its original sense meant death, the fate of all living things."

"Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” Upon hearing these words, many of Jesus’ followers said, “This is a hard teaching” (verse 60), and many of them actually stopped following Him that day (verse 66)." Quote: got question

Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in me said by the Messiah being the son of man when he was on Earth. This is very controversial and of course evil and deceived people have taken this way out of context. Now you don't become a cannonball. That's not what he means. He is the bread of life as he gave his life as a ransom for many. Unless you are covered by the shedding of blood which there would be no forgiveness of sins because of such you wouldn't stand a chance under the New testament. When people break bread today in biblical Christianity they do it as a remembrance to him. And probably when they drink the wine in some Churches and I'm talking about biblical Christianity if they do it at all there they do it in remembrance that he shed his blood for the sins of the world. He was the unblemished Lamb of God perfect in every way. Remember he fed the 5000 prior to making that statement. Well got- question.org got it right. And here's a paraphrase that is profound "“Food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you” (verse 27). At this point, Jesus attempts to turn their perspective away from physical sustenance to their true need, which was spiritual." And got question continues and he sort of sums it up here.

"Jesus then compares and contrasts Himself to the manna that Israel had eaten in the time of Moses: “Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die” (John 6:49–50 kjv). Like manna, Jesus came down from heaven; and, like manna, Jesus gives life. Unlike manna, the life Jesus gives lasts for eternity (verse 58). In this way, Jesus is greater than Moses (see Hebrews 3:3)."
