It is written you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:8 (KJV)

That scripture above is one people/Christians uses freely and take out of context. I've heard this various times and I did have a little look at it.

Peoples take on this (1) (2) (3)

I would think number two (2)  is profound

As for the above I too have studied and we cannot follow the rudiments of the world. Back in the day people were bringing another gospel. People were being polluted and we know about Simon the sorcerer. How do you open the eyes of the deceived. Sure they're blind but some are reprobates and are going to die as reprobates.

I read some of the commentaries. You know what is stunning that some of the old Christians from 100-500 years ago had a varying concept on certain scriptures that are more or less close to the truth. People in hundreds of ministries do studies just like business do studies in stocks and the markets so they understand things that can assist them in their ministries. Some people that do these do not go to others and say HERE. But Christians are KNOWN to attack/ridicule each other. So we must exercise wisdom and good judgment.

Another thing we're going to study which I've done extensive study before is once saved always saved which seems to be relying upon false doctrine. I'm sure the biblical churches, some of them will say no this is people twisting the scriptures. You know I've studied this and what was revealed to me as a Christian that you're saved by faith and putting your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ 1st. I'm talking about the biblical Jesus who is not pagan but he is worshiped by Bible believing Christians. The Jewish Messiah who is the savior of the world. What happens is a lot of people fall away or they make quick converts that are little in substance. It all depends and some of course the Holy Ghost will protect and save regardless. It can't be that you get saved and then you walk the new walk and everything is made new and all of a sudden you are back to your old self in the world doing things that are abominable to the God that saved you. He said the way is narrow and it is a straight gate and he also said that few will be there who will find it in their lifetimes. God is not religion but God is a relationship. And it's an understanding and it also depends on who is a true believer. God tells us there's not even one who understands in scripture. That doesn't mean we don't have preachers and Christians that don't understand it just means that we're so embedded into the world that we lack to do what he truly would want us to do.  12:44 noon 11/16/22

"If the Righteous Scarcely Be Saved" 1 Peter 4:18 Explained - YouTube

Scarcely Saved

Scarcely-saved

We are to seek his righteousness, press in and finish the good fight. He who endures till the end will be saved and that's the words of Christ. We know from I never knew you that these people didn't listen to him. They were professing Christians because they're not atheists. They were casting out demons and doing good works. They tried to proclaim their good works but he wasn't accepting it. He said they were workers of iniquity and that means lawlessness. They're abusive but they appear to be outwardly Christians. In other words the inside of the platter is not cleaned. They don't define in what is really called a Christian. They're probably still in their flesh but they're most likely taught that their religious rituals are required along with their good works is the way when it is not the way. He paid the price in full but it is also  written that we shall not trample the blood of Christ nor abuse grace. Apostle Paul did not say God forbid for no reason at all. If you're a new creature in Christ a change has occurred. You're going to be fine tuned and John 10:10 is what keeps coming along and reminding me that he came to give you an abundance of life. This once saved always saved doctrine was most likely adopted along the years because the prosperity Gospel needed to make followers and things were wrongly interpreted and loosened . It's like taking the training wheels off a bike eventually as a person learns to ride the bike. We are told how we are to overcome. By the renewal of our mind. We are to overcome the flesh and live in the spirit because that is life. We are to examine ourselves daily to see if we're in the faith. 2 Colossians 13:5 Also Christ said that not one iota, not one jot will pass away from the law until all is fulfilled. We're not under the law today but we're under grace but that doesn't give us the right to abuse grace let alone be lawless. 4:40 a.m. November 16th 2022

We were told to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

In my after thoughts and after notes do we subconsciously abuse the mercies of God. Do we really love him with all our heart mind and soul or do we choose the world above him? Do we make any effort at all to put those parables into action? Are we in the new life or the old life? We are to continually confess our sins and he is faithful to forgive us. Bring forth fruit worthy of repentance and scarcely saved if saved at all. No wonder it says as written work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
